Dr. S.K. Aggarwal 

Qualification : Dr. S.K. Aggarwal was born in 1935, in Lahore . He is the youngest of six sons of Dr Diwan Chand Aggarwal. After completing his graduation from Medical College, Amritsar, Dr Sudershan Kumar Aggarwal went for his post-graduation to the United Kingdom . He also went for higher training to Sweden and Norway in the early 1960s, then Mecca of radiology.  

He joined the clinic in 1959, and specialised in gastrointestinal and uro-radiology. After his return from training abroad, he introduced newer imaging techniques and procedures in the centre, to continue the clinic's tradition of being a leading centre for radiology.

Following the death of his elder brother, Dr S.P. Aggarwal, he took over the running of the centre, and from 1990 onwards, the centre has made an astronomical progress in technology and expertise. The centre is the largest private radiology clinic in Asia , offering all imaging modalities under one roof.

It is due to his efforts and stature that the clinic is recognised as a teaching institution by the National Board of Examination.Dr. Sudershan Kumar Aggarwal has contributed for the growth of Radiology in India , the subcontinent and world-wide. He has been the Secretary General and President of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association. He is the founder President for the SAARC society of Radiology. For his contribution to Radiology, he has been felicitated by various organisations all over the world. He has been awarded fellowship by the Royal College of Radiologists, American College of Radiology, Royal College of Physicians & Surgens (Glasgow), the Royal Society of Medicine ( London ), and has been awarded Honorary memberships to the Radiology, The Italian Society of Medical Radiology.

He has also received various awards, including the Beclere medal by the International Society of Radiology, the Gosta Forssell by the Swedish academy of Radiology and the J.C. Bose Oration by the Indian radiological and Imaging Association.

He is the editor of the Asian-Oceanian Journal of Radiology, and joint editor of Text Book Of Radiology by Indian authors. He has also written over 50publications, and has lectured in various meeting and conferences world wide.

Dr Aggarwal has been the organising Secretary of the Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology in 1991, and the International Congress of Radiology.
